How To Find Large Files On Your Mac

I confess, I don’t own a Mac computer (yet), but for those of you who do, and there are a lot more of you than there were a year ago, Justine Ezarik over at TastyBlogSnack.com (you know her as iJustine) has an excellent post up on how to weed out files on your hard drive when you start running out of space.

After scanning your drive, you’re presented with a visual representation of everything on it — The larger the boxes, the larger the file. It allows you to quickly spot a large file you may or may not have forgotten about.

Justine mentions 2 options: Grand Perspective and the more robust Disk Inventory X which both give a visual representation of the files on your hard drive, with the latter having more options.

So if you’re a Mac user, check out the programs mentioned above and also check out and subscribe to iJustine’s blog. She’s a diehard Mac user and super entertaining to boot.
